Grantemia is an AI-powered research funding intelligence platform operated from Espoo, Finland. We help researchers, professors, consultants and university grants offices discover funding opportunities, track deadlines and manage applications. Grantemia collects minimal data to operate the service. When you use the funding search, your query is sent to the Google Gemini API for processing — we do not store search queries on our servers. If you choose to receive results by email, we collect your email address solely to deliver that message. Your application pipeline data is stored locally in your browser and never transmitted to our servers. We do not collect names, identifiers, payment information or behavioural data.
Your email address is used exclusively to send funding results you explicitly requested. Search queries are processed in real time by the Google Gemini API and are not retained by Grantemia. We do not use your data for advertising, profiling, or any purpose beyond delivering the service you requested.
Grantemia uses artificial intelligence to generate funding intelligence, search results, deadline data and recommendations. This content is produced by the Google Gemini API (Google LLC). Under the EU AI Act (Regulation (EU) 2024/1689), Grantemia classifies as a minimal-risk AI system. We comply with Article 50 transparency obligations: all AI-generated content is clearly presented as such. AI-generated results may contain inaccuracies — all funding information must be independently verified with the official funder before any application decision is made. Grantemia does not make automated decisions about individuals. Human oversight is always maintained — users review and act on all AI-generated information themselves.
Grantemia uses the following third-party services: Google Gemini API (AI content generation) — operated by Google LLC, subject to Google's Privacy Policy and AI Terms; Resend (email delivery) — used to send funding results; Vercel (hosting and infrastructure) — our platform is hosted on Vercel's European infrastructure. Each provider operates under its own privacy and data processing framework. Grantemia does not sell or share your data with third parties for commercial purposes.
Grantemia is operated from Finland, within the European Economic Area, and complies with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). You have the right to access any personal data we hold about you, to request correction or deletion, to object to processing, and to data portability. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at hello@grantemia.fi. We will respond within 30 days.
We do not maintain a user database. Email addresses provided for funding result delivery are used once and not retained in a permanent store. Pipeline data exists only in your browser's local storage and is controlled entirely by you — you may clear it at any time by clearing your browser data.
Grantemia does not use advertising cookies, tracking pixels or third-party analytics. We use only technically necessary browser storage (localStorage) to save your pipeline data locally on your device. No cookie consent banner is required as we do not set non-essential cookies.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The date at the top of this page indicates when it was last revised. Continued use of Grantemia after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy. For significant changes, we will note them clearly at the top of this page.

EU AI Act Compliance
Grantemia is classified as a minimal-risk AI system under Regulation (EU) 2024/1689 (EU AI Act). It does not fall under high-risk categories as defined in Annex III. Transparency obligations under Article 50 are fulfilled — all AI-generated content is disclosed as such. This classification was assessed as of May 2026.
